SR-114 Geneva Road Widening

Orem, Utah

The Kiewit design-build team transformed Geneva Road in Orem, Utah, from a rough industrial road into a high-capacity, landscaped and pedestrian-friendly corridor. The project added up to three additional travel lanes on Geneva Road and 60% more sidewalk space, making it a safe, multimodal transportation corridor. The transformation benefits residents and businesses alike and provides ample opportunities for additional economic development in the area.

Crews also constructed a 260-ft overpass on a 62-degree skew at Geneva Road and the Utah Transit Authority and Union Pacific Railroad crossing. The new bridge allows traffic to move safely over the railroad tracks instead of getting backed up waiting for trains to pass.
