Clearlink Call Center
Orem, Utah
The design of Clearlink's new Orem, Utah, call center reflects the company's dynamic and progressive culture. In contrast to traditional call centers, which typically feature row upon row of identical workstations, the Clearlink communication network is broken into pods with multiple configurations.
The pods are located along exterior windows to allow natural light to permeate the work spaces. Full-height glass windows face the offices, blending them visually into the network and helping to connect all team members. Lounges located throughout the space further enhance the company's cutting-edge alternative to the typical corporate setting.
Bright white walls and new materials emphasize the technological side of the firm, while innovative lighting, three-dimensional sculptured walls, warm woods and glass etching add to the effect.
The team was challenged to design and construct a project that reinforced Clearlink's brand while meeting an extremely aggressive schedule.
The design and construction team shared ideas on costs, readily available materials, less-costly alternative materials and delivery methods. As a result, the team removed $10 per sq ft in costs from the project without compromising the quality of the design.
