Dwight H. Pullen Jr. has been appointed director of the aviation market at Denver-based CH2M HILL. Pullen will grow the global consulting firm's aviation business and partner with the international division to integrate CH2M HILL's new airports and air transport colleagues who joined the company with the recent Halcrow acquisition. He works in the firm's Englewood, Colo., headquarters.
Steve Wakeman has been elected an associate stockholder with Boise architectural firm CSHQA. A senior project architect, Wakeman has been with the firm since 2005 and has more than 30 years of project experience, including the Grant County Regional Airport in John Day, Ore., and the Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport in Medford, Ore.
Robert W. Felsburg, president of Denver engineering firm Felsburg, Holt & Ullevig, recently received the Orley O. Phillips Award from the American Council of Engineering Cos. of Colorado, the chapter's highest honor. The award is given to an ACEC/CO member who has made significant contributions to the local chapter and the engineering profession. The chapter's other Advocacy Award winners were Paul Bartlett, dean emeritus of the College of Engineering and Applied Science, University of Colorado at Denver; Michael Griffeth of Griffeth Engineering, Denver; Jesa Griffeth; and Narender Kumar, Kumar & Associates, Denver.
Mike Weber has been hired as a project manager by MW GOLDEN CONSTRUCTORS, Castle Rock, Colo. Weber has a bachelor's degree in construction management from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. He has seven years of industry experience.
Lucinda K. "Luci" Woodard has rejoined Parsons as a vice president and senior manager for aviation programs. Woodard has more than 30 years of experience in architectural planning, design, project management, scheduling and budget monitoring on large aviation and infrastructure projects around the world. Woodard has provided technical solutions and management for several international aviation terminals.
Rich Baldwin has been promoted to director of health, safety and environment in the Denver office of PCL Construction Enterprises Inc.Baldwin will continue to grow PCL's safety program in the U.S. by leading district management teams in best-practice safety policies, practices and procedures.
Tim Ekstrom joins Aurora, Colo., engineering firm SSG MEP as the department lead for building information modeling. Other new hires in the BIM department include Clint McMullen, George Martinez and Galyna Sichkar. The firm has also hired Mark Lievens as an electrical project engineer.
Andy Emke, an associate with Denver's Anderson Hallas Architects PC, was recently appointed to the Denver Landmarks Preservation Committee. He will serve a three-year term.
