Dana Humphreys has joned Hyder Construction of Denver as the firm's marketing manager. She has four years of marketing experience in the commercial construction industry, including creative project management, strategic planning, communications and public relations. Humphreys is also chair of the SMPS Colorado's Communications Committee.

David G. Huelskamp is the new president of Merrick & Co., Aurora, Colo., effective Jan. 3. Huelskamp will report to Ralph W. Christie Jr., who will continue as chairman and CEO. Huelskamp will be responsible for operations of the company and several corporate support functions within the organization. He has been with Merrick for more than 15 years and most recently held the role of senior vice president of business development. He holds an engineering degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy and an MBA from Arizona State University.

Jody Bost, who has been with Denvers' CoCal Landscape since1996, has been promoted to president. Bost began her green industry career in "interiorscapes" in Midland, Mich. Bost expanded into exterior landscape when she joined CoCal Landscape as an assistant manager, focusing on landscape renovation. CoCal has also promoted Jody Medrano to vice president of sales and Carlos Medrano to vice president of operations.

Dave Lewis is celebrating 30 years with Denver consulting engineering firm S.A. Miro Inc. Lewis is president of the firm and a past chair of the DIA Partnership. He has served on the RTD advisory committee and is currently on the University of Colorado School of Engineering's Executive Advisory Board.

Kevin Larington has been appointed president of Denver mechanical contractor Trautman & Shreve Inc., an EMCOR company. Larington has been with the company since 1997, beginning in operations for major projects and later was promoted to project estimating and, subsequently, project preconstruction and executive management in 2005. Larington is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Colorado offices, with a commitment to growth in key market sectors, emerging business opportunities and providing insight into the business needs of clients.

William Raatz has joined JVA Inc. as a project manager in the environmental department and works in the Boulder, Colo., office. Raatz has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's in civil engineering, both from the University of Minnesota. He is a licensed professional engineer in Colorado, Indiana, Nevada, Texas, Wyoming and internationally. Raatz has more than 12 years of experience in the planning and design of water and wastewater systems. He specializes in wastewater treatment and is serving as an engineer for both water and sanitation districts. He is also vice president of the Rocky Mountain Water Environment Association.
