UDOT has joined forces with West Jordan City and Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District to improve 7800 South between 2700 West and 4800 West.

The roadway will be resurfaced using full-depth reclamation, which recycles the existing road surface into new road base at significant cost savings. Crews are installing curb, gutter and sidewalks between 2700 and 4800 West.

Utilities will be relocated, along with installing storm drain, sewer and water lines. At eastbound 7800 South to the Old Bingham highway, a right turn lane will be added. A westbound through-lane and a free-right lane are being added at Bangerter Highway.

The project team includes general contractor Condie Construction of Springville and JUB Engineers of Boise. The $14-million project, which started in July, is scheduled for completion in fall 2010.
