The D61-24 Crawler Dozer is powered by a 6.80-liter, 168-hp diesel engine that meets Tier 4 Final emissions standards via a diesel-particulate filter. The engine employs a Komatsu variable-geometry turbocharger, which maintains a high level of passive regeneration, reducing time lost on cleaning out the exhaust filter. Topcon Positioning Group has added a rotary-wing model to its line of unmanned aerial vehicles. The Falcon 8 is available in two models. The GeoEXPERT UAV features an HD RBG camera and is intended for surveying and modeling applications. For industrial and infrastructure inspections, the InspectionPRO UAV features the same camera as well as an infrared-sensor package. The data gathered by the UAV can be geo-tagged and imported into Topcon’s desktop surveying software for use in photogrammetry and other applications. The D60x90 S3 Navigator, a horizontal directional drill (HDD), is capable of 60,000 lb of thrust and pullback and can generate 9,000 ft-lb of rotational torque. With this capability, the HDD rig can install long runs of fiber-optic cables, gas-distribution lines, smaller-diameter pipeline crossings and water lines.
