Roy Montalbano has been promoted to partner at PBK. He will continue to oversee the development and growth of new business markets.

Weidlinger Associates Inc . has hired James Wesevich as an associate principal in applied science and investigations. He is establishing the firm's new Austin office. Before Weidlinger, Wesevich served as senior principal engineer, manager of structural validation and protective structures at Baker Engineering and Risk Consultants.

Alan Hendrix has joined Freese and Nichols as manager of the Dallas team in the company's North Texas transportation group. Previously, he was assistant director of Dallas Public Works, where he managed engineering, construction, survey services and delivery of the street and transportation components for the city's 2006 and 2012 transportation bond programs.

Rachel Hansen has joined McKim & Creed Inc.'s Austin office as geomatics project manager. She has worked in the oil and gas industry, helping to manage a 100-mile pipeline project in Louisiana and overseeing pipeline assignments in South Texas.

BONNETTE

PGAL has promoted Paul Bonnette to principal from associate principal. He has been with PGAL for 18 years and is based in Houston. PGAL also promoted Cris Ruebush to principal from associate principal. He has been with the firm for 12 years and is based in PGAL's Austin office.

James L. Bielstein is a project manager in LJA's East Houston public works division, responsible for the design of projects at marine ports along the Texas Gulf Coast. Before joining LJA, Bielstein spent more than 11 years with the Port of Houston Authority and 11 years with the city of Houston's Dept. of Public Works and Engineering.

Mark Kastner has joined Larson Design Group as a project manager in the firm's energy division at its San Antonio office.

Rosa E. Trevino has joined Raba Kistner Infrastructure as project manager II, responsible for managing the owner verification services on one-third to one-half of the TxDOT Energy Sector Road Repair project. Before joining RKI, Trevino worked for TxDOT/Laredo District, most recently as director of construction.

Charles Hardy has joined Slates Harwell LLP, a Dallas-based law firm that focuses on the construction industry. He spent more than 30 years in the legal department at Austin Industries.

L.A. Fuess Partners has promoted Brian Schnittker to associate. He began his structural engineering career with the firm in 2009. The firm also promoted Matthew Bean to associate. Bean began his structural engineering career with L.A. Fuess Partners Inc. in 2006.

Alex Munguia has joined Leidos Engineering as a fire protection engineer for the firm's architecture and engineering business. He is based in Oklahoma City.

Glen O'Mary has been named director of education at the Construction & Maintenance Education Foundation, the training affiliate of Associated Builders and Contractors of Greater Houston.

Chuck Gremillion has come out of retirement to join the Construction Career Collaborative as its first full-time executive director.
