Oxford Builders has hired Lloyd Jones as vice president of operations. He has 32 years of experience in the construction industry, specializing in fast-track commercial projects.

Manhattan Construction has hired Dennis Thompson as executive vice president of business development. Thompson has 35 years of construction industry experience, including six years with Manhattan. He originally joined Manhattan as director of business development in 1995 and left as vice president in 2001.

Turner Construction has named Steve Whitcraft as director of commercial and health-care segments in North Texas. Based in Dallas, Whitcraft has been with Turner for 27 years in a variety of management positions. He also is the great-great grandson of Henry C. Turner, the founder of Turner Construction. The company also named Alayne Bomba as marketing manager for the state of Texas. Based in Houston, she has more than 15 years of experience in architecture, engineering and construction. Turner also hired Trent Williams as a project manager in Houston. He has eight years of industry experience with a major focus on health-care projects. Williams also is a company recruiter for engineers at the University of Houston.

GME Consulting Services has promoted Marcia Kawalek to CEO from corporate vice president. A founder of the firm, she also is president of its board of directors and the current majority shareholder.

GME also promoted Douglas Ziolkowski to president from senior vice president. He is a principal. The firm also elevated Vincent Elizarde from project manager to vice president. He has been with GME since 2009.

PhiloWilke Partnership has hired Larry Gawloski as design director. He has 30 years of institutional, education and corporate experience and was a design principal at his previous firm.

The McDonnel Grouphas hired Lou Campero as project manager. His responsibilities include project procurement and scheduling; subcontract administration; job cost accounting; and monthly cost projections. Campero is currently project manager of the Port of New Orleans' $24-million Riverfront Cold Storage Facility project.

TDIndustries has promoted Steve Canter to chief technology officer. In his expanded role, he assumes direct responsibilities for the firm's information technology department under Jim Bivins, vice president. Canter will develop and integrate TDI's technology, R&D and innovation strategies. He joined the firm in 1998 as a mechanical engineer and has been involved in major design-build projects, including the 1.8-million-sq-ft Arizona Cardinals Stadium, the 1-million-sq-ft Container Store corporate warehouse in Dallas and the 8,500-ton central plant retrofit for Dallas Market Center.

HASEN Construction Services has hired Asaad Kawach as a project engineer.

Balfour Beatty Construction has promoted Lori Willox to chief financial officer of its South Central region, which includes Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arkansas and Tennessee. She has worked at the contractor for more than five years, most recently as senior vice president of finance in its North Texas division. Balfour Beatty also has hired Jim Cunningham as the North Texas division director of business development for interiors and special projects. He had previously served in leadership roles at Lasco Acoustics and Drywall and Parsons Brinckerhoff.
