Cadence McShane Construction Co. – with offices in Austin, Houston and Dallas – was awarded a 356,000-sq-ft industrial assignment for Weingarten Realty Investors. The job includes 326,000 sq ft of extensive renovations, as well as 30,000 sq ft of new construction at the existing ClayPoint 4 industrial building located on a 40-acre site in Weingarten Realty Investors’ ClayPoint Distribution Park in the northwest industrial corridor of Houston.

Cadence McShane will also complete additional enhancements to the business park including sitework, utility improvements and parking. Houston-based Seeberger + Associates LP is providing the architectural services.

The firm was also selected to build the $66.5-million, 340,000-sq-ft Red Oak High School, opening in fall. Dallas-based Corgan Associates Inc. is providing the architect.

The firm also completed the 380,100-sq-ft Willowridge High School for Fort Bend ISD to update the 30-year-old, two-story facility, adding 1,950 sq ft of new construction.

As well, the firm has two new K-12 contracts: the 92,213-sq-ft Lizzie Nell Cundiff McClure Elementary School project on behalf of the McKinney ISD and a construction assignment for the new $37-million, 282,000-sq-ft McMillen High School from the Plano ISD. Dallas-based PBK Architects is the architect for the McKinney project; SHW Group of Dallas for Plano.
