The 92-year-old Rose Bowl, one of the most recognizable stadiums in the U.S., was in need of a facelift. However, work couldn't compromise the integrity of the National Historic Landmark. Improvements focused on safety, an enhanced fan experience and more efficient facility operations. The scope of work included demolition of suites and press boxes to make way for new suites and a press pavilion with triple the number of seats. The project also doubled the space for concessions and increased the number of restrooms. Widened pedestrian access tunnels help reduce the time needed to exit the stadium by nearly half. The $169-million project was carefully planned early on and completed without interrupting daily operations.
