Breaking news, videos and the interactive features like a Twitter feed caught the judge’s attention in the American Society of Business Publication Editors awards competition this year.  ENR.com won Best B2B Website of the Year.

The awards were presented at the ASBPE national conference in Chicago where Tudor Van Hampton, ENR’s deputy editor, regions, delivered a talk on best practices for websites.  “ENR editors have embraced digital journalism and are innovating with the new tools available to deliver content," Van Hampton says. ENR recognizes that the needs of readers are going to get ever more high tech. Last year, for example, we launched a mobile news app, and now we are exploring a tablet-friendly version of ENR.

ENR also was a finalist for B2B Magazine of the Year and won a national gold award for Best News Section for our coverage of Superstorm Sandy. “It was right in  our wheelhouse—an infrastructure-intensive story right in our own backyard so our experienced news team had excellent sources,” says ENR News Director Andrew Wright. ENR also took home awards for its coverage of bullying on the job and the Elwa River Restoration project feature. We are delighted to be recognized for the computer-generated cover design of the issue “Searching for Solutions” on ENR 10/8/12. In addition, ENR won four regional “Azbees.”
