2013 Ram Pickup Raises Fuel-Economy Bar

Preliminary pricing shows the 2013 Ram 1500 Tradesman starting at $22,590 plus $995 in delivery fees. The new V-6 with the eight-speed TorqueFlite transmission will cost $1,000 more than the base V-8, and the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 will cost $310 more than the V-6. For the 2013 model, Rambox will no longer be a no-cost option.

Next year's Tradesman will be able to tow trailers weighing up to 6,500 lb with the 3.6-liter V-6, 7,700 lb with the 4.7-liter V-8 and 10,350 lb with the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8.
