The Albuquerque metro-area commercial construction market is busier now, “and we know a segment of our member companies are quite pleased to see their backlogs growing,” Puelle says. A good portion of the projects are in the private sector, including Facebook’s data center being built south of Albuquerque. Puelle adds there are high hopes for the new data center to spur more development. “Our market lags the region and the nation and has not fully recovered from the big downturn,” he says.
