At build out, SkyBridge will total 360 acres at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport in Mesa, Arizona. It will include 2 million s.f. of warehouse, 200,000 s.f. of office, 1.7 million s.f. of light industrial/flex/cargo and 100,000 s.f. of retail/restaurant. Graycor was selected for the design-build of the first two buildings. Architectural firm ADM Group and engineering firm HilgartWilson are Graycor’s design-build partners. Graycor begins construction at SkyBridge with a fully spec. flex industrial building and new hangar facility. The flex building will total 60,000 s.f. suitable for light industrial/warehouse with 24' clear height, up to four docks and storefront entries with office, conference and break areas. The hangar will total 82,500 s.f. with four bays offering administrative and conference space. All bays will have the ability to accommodate aircraft as large as a G650 business jet.

One of Phoenix’ oldest high schools now models the future of education (TEMPE, ARIZONA) – ADM Group, Inc., the Southwest’s premier, locally-owned architecture, design and project management firm, is proud to announce it has completed the two-phase, $27 million renovation of the Academies at South Mountain (formerly known as South Mountain High School) in the Phoenix Union High School District.
The renovation was designed specifically to support the new learning environment at the school.

It is still a large high school with 2,400 students; but now, youth are enrolled in one of four college prep and career readiness academies that include Science and Technology; Public and Social Services; Aerospace and Engineering; and Media Arts and Design. With just 600 students self-selected into each academy, these teens experience a smaller, more intimate learning environment where teachers and staff can focus on each individual, providing personal academic, emotional and social support.

Now, after the complete renovation of more than 180,000 square feet of space, large signs clearly differentiate the academies with distinct color schemes assigned to each. Although a few shared buildings remain, each academy has its own buildings, classrooms, labs and other supportive spaces. Mechanical systems have been completely upgraded, floors are polished concrete that requires minimal maintenance and state-of-the-art computer labs are now installed throughout the campus.

Loven Contracting is renovating the Flagstaff Medical Center Central Plant. Essential to any project on the active FMC campus is an extensive site safety plan and coordination with multiple hospital stakeholders and user groups - including nearby helipad activity. Site crews are linked to the campus radio and given a flight protocol, enabling a shutdown of activities with incoming flights. Foreign objects and debris maintenance are utilized for the entire duration of construction.

It will be fully occupied by Amazon, who has committed to the entire building for use as a fulfillment center. The Class A master planned bulk distribution park is developed by New York Life Real Estate Investors to meet record-high logistics and e-commerce demand in southwest Phoenix. Wentworth Property Company serves as the owner’s representative on the project.

10 West Logistics Center Phase II totals 569,301 square feet on the northwest corner of Van Buren Street and 59th Avenue (future site of the Loop 202 freeway). Amenities include 36’ clear height, dock-high and grade-level loading, 200 foot minimum truck courts, ESFR fire sprinklers, energy efficient motion sensor lighting, fenced and secured yard, and ample car and trailer parking. Graycor is managing all tenant improvement construction for Amazon.

Sundt Construction recently completed Sun Health Communities’ Grandview Terrace remodel and expansion. The $13.5 million renovation included six floors of corridors consisting of resident condominiums, office space, common areas andamenity spaces. The project was performed in phases over two years to accommodate the over 300 residents and 100 staff members living and working in the construction zone. The CMAR project began in 2016, and Todd and Associates served as the architect of record.

The first panel lift at TEN Distribution Center took place in late June. The second took place in July. The final panel lift, completing the east side of the building, is scheduled for mid-August. Building one is expected to substantially complete in December. Each of the concrete panels measures 50 feet high and is up to 10.5 inches thick, with an average weight of 218,000 pounds each. It takes a crew of 10, including a crane operator and oiler, to lift and secure a single panel in place.

Lincoln Property Co. and Goldman Sachs have broken ground on Building Two at The Grand at Papago Park Center in Tempe. The nine-story, 352,000 s.f. project is one of Arizona’s largest spec office buildings and the second of eight Class A office buildings planned by Lincoln at the 60-acre mixed-use site. The building offers creative office space, 10,000 s.f. amenity lounge with restaurant and conference areas, and modern rooftop lounge with sweeping views. Completion is scheduled for Q2 2019.

A ceremony to announce the groundbreaking of Chandler Corporate Center, a 114,000-square-foot office development by VanTrust Real Estate (VanTrust), was held on October 16. The Class A office project, located at 350 N. McClintock Dr., is being constructed by Layton Construction Company and was designed by Butler Design Group. It is being developed on 11-acres, and is estimated to be complete in June 2018.
