American Institute of Architects Colorado presented the 2016 AIA Colorado Honor Awards winners during the chapter’s 2016 design conference in early October. The awards recognize firms and individuals who are setting examples in both design and leadership in the state.

The winners are:

  • Leadership Award – Korey White with RNL Design in Denver
  • Innovative Practices Award – Colorado Building Workshop, University of Colorado College of Architecture and Planning in Denver
  • Young Architect of the Year – Ben Blanchard with AndersonMasonDale in Denver
  • Twenty-Five Year Award – Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass / Aspen, Colorado Architect: Harry Teague Architects

The 2016 AIA Colorado Honor Awards Jury was comprised of three individuals representing the north, south and central areas of the state: Gregory M. Friesen of CSNA Architects in Colorado Springs, who served as the 2016 jury chair; Katheryn L. Zeeb, A4LE of Boulder Valley School District; and Maria Cole of gkkworks in Denver.
