HOW TO USE THE LIST
Construction programs are grouped by standard regions of the Associated Schools of Construction, and are listed alphabetically by state within each region.

Far West = Calif., Ore. and Wash.; Rocky Mountain = Ariz., Colo., Idaho, Mont., Nev., N.M. and Utah; North Central = Iowa, Kan., Minn., Mo., Neb., N.D. and S.D.; Great Lakes = Ill., Ind., Ky., Mich., Ohio and Wis.; Northeast = Conn., Maine, Mass., N.J., N.Y., Pa. and R.I.; Southeast = Ala., Fla., Ga., Miss., N.C., S.C., Tenn. and Va.; and South Central = Ark., La., Okla. and Texas.

Undergraduate enrollment is based only on the number of students admitted at the grade level indicated. Data for undergraduate enrollment is as of Spring 2001. Data for B.S. graduates includes all those graduating during academic year 2000-2001. Total number of graduates is included for each program, as well as numbers of male and female graduates. Data on organizations recruiting is for academic year 2000-2001, unless otherwise indicated. Data particular to one program is explained in a footnote at the bottom of each page.

References to faculty include full-time equivalents only, and exclude part-time and/or adjunct staff. Degree required to teach applies to tenure-track faculty only, unless otherwise indicated. Scholarship figures represent only funds that are administered by programs, and exclude funds from external sources.

† = Private institution. * = Data not provided or otherwise unavailable. ** = Program on quarter system. 1Faculty have at least seven years of industry experience. 2 Data is for Fall 2000 only. 5 Fall 2001. 10 Does not include faculty who teach service courses. 14 Same as Footnote no. 8. 19 Include two year degree students. 28 Salary range: $36,000-&48,000. 29 Numbers reflect juniors and seniors only. 36 Spring 2000 only.

The entire survey of "The Nation's C-Schools" is published in the Oct. 29, 2001 issue of ENR. Copies of the issue can be obtained from ENR by calling Phyllis Moody at 212-904-4635. Copies are at $5 each.
