HTS Texas – with offices in Houston, San Antonio, Austin and Beaumont – was tapped by Randolph Air Force Base officials in San Antonio to outfit the 200,000-sq-ft military facility with more efficient HVAC equipment.

The equipment includes a McQuay magnetic bearing chiller, McQuay air handling units and Enviro-Tec Variable Air Volume boxes in a system designed for energy efficiency.

HTS Texas also provided a McQuay magnitude magnetic-bearing, water-cooled chiller to Cedar Valley Middle School in Round Rock ISD.

Other school districts in Texas are getting high-tech chillers including a dozen schools in Conroe ISD, and two McQuay Air-Cooled Chillers at The Woodlands Ninth Grade Center. HTS Texas provided two oil-less and frictionless McQuay magnetic-bearing chillers – some of the most efficient HVAC equipment on the market today–at Washington Junior High.

A branch of HTS Texas in Austin, DXS Engineering also replaced three older HVAC systems with one new, state-of-the-art Daikin heat pump at Andrews Elementary School in Austin ISD this summer. Because of the limited space available for the installation, this smaller equipment allowed flexibility for the DXS design team, in addition to lowering energy costs and maintenance needs for the school.

As well, HTS Texas engineers placed Munters Humidity Control Units (or HCUs) at Brill Elementary, Klein Intermediate and Northampton Elementary Schools in Klein ISD.
