Parsons Brinckerhoff has named Jason Longsdorf director of planning in the firm's Denver office. Longsdorf will manage the environmental, transportation planning and placemaking staff. He previously served as PB's regional environmental director. Longsdorf will also oversee development of planning and environmental work for PB's offices in Austin, Texas; Houston; Dallas; Tempe, Ariz.; Albuquerque; and Salt Lake City.

James A. Brady has been appointed chief operating officer at Denver's Wilson & Co., Engineers & Architects. Brady has 24 years of experience in transportation planning and design. He has been with Wilson & Co. since 2001. Brady has a bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado and is a licensed engineer in Colorado.

The American Subcontractors Association of Colorado (ASAC) recently presented Carrie A. Rodgers with the chapter's Attorney of the Year award. Rodgers is a partner and chair of the construction group at the Denver law firm Moye White LLP. She also serves as chair of ASAC's attorneys' council. She has been a construction attorney for more than 30 years and writes and lectures on the subject of construction law. Rodgers teaches an annual course at Turner Construction's school for minority and women-owned construction businesses.

Sharon Alton has been hired as the new executive director of the Colorado chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council. Alton was previously USGBC Colorado's director of community engagement. Before her work with the chapter, she was founder and principal of Denver's GAIA Consulting Group, which works with companies to implement environmental programs. Alton'sexperience also includes serving as event coordinator for the Downtown Denver Partnership.

Scott Ondik has returned to work at Denver engineering firm Swanson Rink as manager of security systems. Ondik is a registered professional electrical engineer and certified protection professional with a Dept. of Defense security clearance and an access control supervisor certificate. Allen Smith has also returned to work at Swanson Rink, joining the firm's mission critical group. He will focus on designing highly reliable electrical systems for Swanson Rink's data center clients, including IBM and Comcast.

Anthony Galterio has joined the Wheat Ridge, Colo., office of VSL to provide national business development leadership in the area of post-tensioned liquid containment structures. Galterio has 17 years of engineering design and business development experience in projects across the U.S. and in many other countries. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. VSL, which specializes in the post-tensioning industry, is part of Baltimore-based Structural Group.

Peter Monroe, a principal at Denver's Monroe-Newell Engineers Inc., was elected 2014-2015 president of the American Council of Engineering Cos. of Colorado. Other ACEC/CO officers include Marvinetta Hartwig, Hartwig & Associates, vice president; and Elizabeth Stolfus, Stolfus & Associates Inc., secretary/treasurer. Newly elected to the board of directors were Craig Watts, MKK Consulting Engineers; Matt Schlageter, Martin/Martin Inc.; and Frank Kohl, Lamp Rynearson & Associates. Former council president Rob Refvem, Felsburg Holt & Ullevig, will serve as the chapter's director on the ACEC national board.
