Builders Eyed Details On Alabama Federal Building and Courthouse
The newest addition to Tuscaloosa, Ala.'s downtown district displays a traditional Greek Revival design.
KBR Building Group started construction of the 127,376-sq-ft federal building and courthouse for the General Services Administration in November 2009. The $48.6-million facility houses nearly 20 government tenants, including the U.S. District Court, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Marshal Service and the Social Security Administration. It also includes offices for Alabama's senators and congressional representatives.
