Here’s an update on the latest projects added – and subtracted – to the tristate region’s Top Starts list. The top-25 projects on this list, which ranks the largest projects (by contract value) to have broken ground in the region last year, will be published in ENR New York’s March 12 issue.


We’ve been hard at work talking with officials and updating the numbers, which has resulted in some previously listed projects being knocked off the list. Some of these have been displaced by larger projects, and others have been removed from the list for technical reasons – such as a change in construction schedule that resulted in the project initially kicking off before or after 2011.


Below is an updated listing, in alphabetical order, of 20 of the contenders this year. However, as mentioned in previous blogs, keep in mind that this is a dynamic ranking and that publication here is no guarantee of inclusion in the final rankings in our March 12 issue. Since we are limiting the list to 25, it is still possible that any of the projects below could be knocked off the list if we find and confirm another contract of larger value or if for technical reasons they no longer qualify.
