The Construction Management Association of America named Carol Holland board chair. Based in Washington, D.C., she is senior vice president of Cornerstone Concilium Inc., an engineering and management consultant. Holland, who managed the $2-billion Pentagon Wedge 2-5 renovation project, is a U.S. Navy veteran and U.S. Naval Academy graduate.
The New York City Dept. of Design and Construction has hired Nathan Toth as chief financial officer. Most recently, he was a principal at Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies. He also was deputy director of infrastructure and economic development for the New York City Council and operations director for the city’s School Construction Authority.
Construction management firm STO Building Group, New York City, elevated Paul Drecksel to corporate president. He was chief operating officer of Layton Construction, an STO unit, having joined it in 2013 as general counsel.
LeChase Construction Services, Rochester, N.Y., promoted Cheryl Colavecchio and Russell Smith to senior vice president from vice president. Colavecchio manages organizational development, training and human resources. Smith leads marketing, communications and business development.
Brian Killinger has been named to head asset management at Gilbane Development Co., based in Boston. He was senior vice president for asset management at LivCor LLC.
Professional services firm STV, New York City, has named Natasha Avenessians as corporate chief of staff. She was senior adviser to the city deputy mayor for operations, responsible for its major infrastructure projects, and is former chief of staff at Long Island Rail Road. Kristen Van Gilst, formerly in the role, now is deputy operations director. The firm also elevated transportation managers Suresh Karre, Derek Overstreet and Michael Randolph to vice president, based in Fairfax, Va.; Richmond; and Washington, D.C., respectively. Joseph Leader also has joined STV as vice president and engineering director of its transportation north operating group. He was senior rail project manager at design firm HDR and had also been chief operating officer of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority in Washington, D.C.
Robert Haughey has joined DeSimone Consulting Engineering in New York City as transportation practice director to oversee strategy, program management and technical consulting for its elevator and building systems work. He was lead vertical transportation consultant for Lerch Bates Inc.
York, Pa.-based Kinsley Construction named Jason Stouffer as CEO, succeeding Christopher Kinsley, who retired last year. Stouffer had been chief operating officer, beginning his company career as a laborer. Andrew Kinsley and James Kinsley are now co-COOs.
The Architectural Team, Chelsea, Mass., promoted principal Thomas Schultz to managing principal, succeeding Michael D. Binette, who was named chairman. Among projects Schultz has led is the new global headquarters for apparel brand Converse in Boston.
Consulting Engineering Services, a Middletown, Conn., MEP and fire protection specialist, has promoted Eric Gabrian to principal.
Dan DeRooy, vice president of finance at contractor Skanska USA Building, New York City, has been elevated to chief financial officer for that unit and for Skanska USA Inc., succeeding Leo Sinicin, who has retired.
Massachusetts-based construction management firm Columbia promoted three team members to vice president roles. Sam Dettore is vice president | corporate, Ralph DiNapoli advances to vice president | safety and Matt Johnson takes on the vice president | hospitality construction position.
