Transforming the interior and exterior of this boutique on Rodeo Drive required real-time problem solving, coordination and flexibility throughout all phases.
After demolition began in January 2024, the team had to temporarily pause progress to integrate a series of client-driven design evolutions that ultimately impacted both the schedule and budget.
Ranging from structural elements to interior finishes, these changes demanded a flexible, solutions-oriented approach from the field and project management teams. Sourcing specialty materials—such as plaster finishes hand-applied by a New York artisan and ceramic pedestals from Spain—required early procurement, international coordination and active tracking to avoid further delays.
A custom sculptural trellis facade was assembled on site from nine sections. This exterior feature was engineered to mimic ceramic texture while accommodating the curvature and proportions of the building’s architecture.
Its precision installation required early planning, mock-ups and field adjustments. Inside are curved walls finished with hand-applied striated plaster. Custom marble stairs were installed to exact specifications, connecting all three floors.
