Delivered in March 2021, the 14-story Marriott Uptown contains 255 guest rooms and 22,000 sq ft of meeting and ballroom space.

Abnormal rainfall affected excavation of the garage, so the team assembled a system of pumps and sediment filter tanks to dewater the site.

During the structural elevated concrete phase, the concrete cylinder compression testing became challenging, as crews were placing concrete faster than results could be obtained. The project team came together and decided to install concrete maturity meters to report compressive strength, which prevented concrete blowouts and allowed for on-time post-tensioning and wrecking of forms.
