The project team on this $138-million multi-building high school achieved an exemplary safety record with no lost-time incidents and delivered the project under budget two months ahead of schedule in May 2020 despite materials and workforce issues resulting from COVID-19.

The three-story main building includes classrooms and career and technology spaces; a performing arts center with a 900-seat auditorium; a standalone natatorium with an eight-lane, 25-meter pool; three gymnasiums; and a sports complex with playing fields.

The site-specific safety plan included comprehensive orientations; weekly toolbox safety meetings to educate workers on existing, revised and new safety rules; and daily pretask meetings. S&P relied on multiple safety managers, where three or more managers conduct a first site walk to understand the entire project, then rotate working on the project, ensuring a sustained high focus on safety.
