Rubell Family Collection is planning the Randall School Mixed-Use Redevelopment at 65 I St. SW. The $100-million design-bid-build project calls for 489 units in two 12-story residential buildings. The new residential building will be set behind the historic Randall School. Renovation work will be in the older buildings and consist of a 31,839-sq-ft contemporary art museum, educational uses and 18,602 sq ft of commercial space. There also will be a two-level underground garage with 301 parking spaces and an additional 550 bicycle spaces. The project is expected to start Oct. 1.
