Liborio 3 LLC is planning Melanie’s Ridge Apartment Complex in Seaford. The up to $50-million owner-subcontractor project includes 36 wood-framed buildings. Each will have two stories above grade, for a total of 300,000 sq ft. The project also includes 560 parking spaces, a clubhouse, playground, swimming pool, storage facilities and 10,000 sq ft of commercial space. It also will have a private stormwater management system with an outfall to Herring Run Branch. Davis Bowen & Friedel is the architect. District of Columbia

MRP Realty has proposed a 375,000-sq-ft mixed-use residential project at 1800-1824 Half St. SW, located one block east of Audi Field. The $75-million design-bid-build project includes a reinforced concrete 10-story building with 344 apartments and ground-floor retail. The project also includes two levels of below-grade parking. The permit process was underway at ENR MidAtlantic press time and schedules had yet to be determined. SK&I Architectural Design Group is the designer. The Washington National Cathedral has proposed renovating the former Cathedral College of Preachers facility at 3510 Woodley Road NW. Renamed the Virginia Mae Center, the facility will serve as one of the primary hubs for the cathedral’s new program arm and the Cathedral College of Faith and Culture. The $22-million design-bid-build project includes a complete rehabilitation of the building. Plans call for flexible meeting space, classrooms, dining facilities with a light commercial kitchen, offices and lodging. Permitting was underway at press time, and the schedule was yet to be determined for the projected LEED Silver project. The cathedral is serving as its own architect. Maryland

The Charles County Commissioners Purchasing Dept. is accepting bids for the Mattawoman Wastewater Treatment Plant Flow Equalization Basin ITB2035 on Hawthorne Road in La Plata. Bids for the more than $23-million design-bid-build project are due at 3 p.m. on July 21. The project involves designing and constructing a flow equalization/storage system to buffer peak flows and prevent sanitary-sewer overflows and unauthorized discharges. The project also includes unit process improvements to address hydraulic inefficiencies at the plant. Bonds include a 5% bid bond, 100% performance bond and 100% payment bond. Pennsylvania

The Pennsylvania Dept. of Transportation is accepting bids for the U.S. 15 Road Resurfacing MPMS94950 project. Bids for the up to $25-million design-bid-build project are due at 11 a.m. on June 18. Contractors should possess prequalification status of PennDOT. The work consists of ramp acceleration and deceleration lane lengthening, intersection safety improvements and a new jug handle. A 500-ft rock slope will be cut back. The entire pavement width (roadway and shoulders) will be resurfaced with Superpave and all guide rails will be replaced.
