Tavistock Group is planning to develop Poitras East, an 1,854-acre mixed-use development in Orlando. The site contains completed borrow pits, a holding pond, asphalt and dirt roads, roadside drainage ditches and recharge trenches. Natural habitat is primarily characterized by pine flatwoods, palmetto prairies, shrub and freshwater marshes. The development will ultimately include 2,973 homes, 100,000 sq ft of commercial space, a school, a community center and a community park. Georgia

GID Urban Development Group is planning to build High Street Atlanta, a mixed-use project in Dunwoody. The project will include three seven-story buildings totaling 850,000 sq ft, 600 apartments, 200,000 sq ft of retail space and 40,000 sq ft of office space. North Carolina

The City of Winston Salem is planning to modernize the 48-million-gallon-a-day R.W. Neilson Water Treatment Plant. The project includes dewatering and cleaning of existing raw water reservoirs; modifications to the existing raw water booster pumping station; and modifications to the existing Neilson 1/2 Building. It will also include raw water meter vault, rapid mix and flocculation basins, sedimentation basins, filters and piping. The project is valued at $103.4 million. Georgia

Alberici-Mortenson, a design-build joint venture, has started carrying out the Dry Dock Recapitalization project at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay. The project includes repairs to the dry dock concrete body, cover and various mechanical and electrical systems. The dry dock is a covered reinforced concrete graving dock measuring 700 ft long by 100 ft wide by 67 ft deep. The cover is 825 ft long by 270 ft wide by 120 ft tall and is composed of metal roof and siding, supported by a coated steel-frame truss system. The project is valued at $191.9 million. North Carolina

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command is evaluating rebid submissions from design-build firms seeking the MILCON Hurricane Florence Recovery Package 1 for Marine Air Station Cherry Point. The project entails constructing a two-story, 23,000-sq-ft security building, a two-story, 15,000-sq-ft headquarters, a 36,000-sq-ft vehicle maintenance shop, a 32,000-sq-ft fire station and a 12,000-sq-ft satellite fire station, a 15,000-sq-ft range operations center and a 21,000-sq-ft auditorium. Tennessee

A joint venture of M.A. Mortenson Construction and Messer Construction was awarded a $167.5-million construction management contract to oversee the Major League Soccer stadium by Nashville Soccer Holdings LLC. The 532,000-sq-ft facility will have 30,000 seats, with room for future expansions. It will include luxury suites, offices and retail space.
