Riverview School lives up to its name. It features spectacular views of the Roaring Fork River, just south of Glenwood Springs, Colo. Riverview houses nearly 350 students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, and it can hold 100 more. The school is built both for educational excellence and security, with a flexible design that promotes collaboration and dual-language instruction. That’s key for an increasingly diverse group of students in Glenwood Springs.

Digging the foundation required considerable excavation of rock and even the purchase of a special rock bucket. Building in the heart of the Rocky Mountains is always difficult, and when a project is nestled between two major ski areas, snow is frequently in the forecast. Still, the team persevered, and students in Glenwood Springs have a bright new facility that fits in well with the area.
