Vail Health Hospital is important to residents and visitors in Eagle County, Colo.—and especially to skiers who get hurt on the slopes. The hospital’s West Wing expansion and renovation upgraded five levels of the facility and added 25,000 sq ft of clinical, rehabilitation and research labs for the Steadman Clinic and Steadman Philippon Research Institute.

In addition, crews expanded the building’s footprint with a new conference center as well as a drop-off area and shelter canopy for patients. Also included: a new mechanical and electrical plant, along with a data center to support hospital operations. The project improved the Howard Head Sports Medicine Center and renovated the progressive care unit, intensive care unit and surgery prep and recovery rooms.
