TriPoint Medical Center rests on a 44-acre, greenfield site in Concord, Ohio. Hospital features include private rooms, an ICU, medical/surgical and ICU beds, special-care nursery units, general radiology facilities, gift shop, pharmacy and chapel.

Just 16 months into construction, Gilbane was already performing interior framing and in-wall rough-in of the patient room headwalls on the third and fourth floors.

However, shortly after Gilbane began constructing the headwalls, Lake Health issued a stop-work notice while it revised the layout of the patient rooms, including the headwalls.

The stop-work notice impacted interior framing, in-wall rough-in, casework fabrication, drywall, ceilings, painting, flooring, and testing and balancing. The stop-work notice lasted six weeks while Lake Health and the architect worked through design revisions.

Gilbane was able to overcome the delay by working with the trades to re-sequence the work with a minimal amount of overtime.

The Gilbane team earned the certificate of occupancy one day ahead of schedule.
