Chuanwen Quan has joined RS&H in Jacksonville as vice president, aviation. With 26 years of experience, Quan will be responsible for airport planning, design and production of simulation studies. He previously worked on airport projects in Chicago, Dallas and Atlanta.

Also, Chad Critcher was named national market leader, major highways for RS&H, in Charlotte, N.C.

Robert Thompson has joined the Chapel Hill, N.C., office of Dewberry as a project manager. He has 38 years of industry experience.

J. Alex Harwell has also joined Dewberry's Chapel Hill office as an assistant project manager and construction administrator. He has 15 years of related experience and most recently worked as an engineering reviewer with the North Carolina Division of Health Services Regulation.

David Dangel has been promoted to director of project development and environment and environmental services for Inwood Consulting Engineers, Oviedo, Fla. In this new role, Dangel will supervise the department's projects, staff and training initiatives. As an associate principal and senior project manager, Dangel provides engineering and project management services for state transportation projects.

Also, Renato Chuw was named associate principal with Inwood. Chuw manages the firm's transportation group and serves as senior engineer for drainage projects.

Michelle Chandler was promoted to the position of partner at SchenkelShultz Architecture in Orlando. Chandler, with the firm since 2001 and formerly a principal, leads SchenkelShultz's business development and operational efforts.

Daniel Laggan also was promoted to partner with SchenkelShultz, Orlando. With the firm since 2007, Laggan formerly served as a principal.
