Samuel Ferreri joined architectural and engineering firm PGAL, Boca Raton, Fla., as a principal. He has 36 years of industry experience and previously was a principal with SchenkelShultz Architecture, West Palm Beach, Fla.

HELLWIG
Thomas Hellwig has joined Parsons Brinckerhoff in Atlanta as a senior aviation program manager. In his new role, Hellwig, who has more than 26 years of aviation industry experience, will manage aviation projects throughout the U.S. Prior to joining PB, he served as vice president for a Nashville, Tenn.-based architectural and engineering firm, where he managed the design for the new international terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.


 

LOPEZ-ISA
Alba Lopez-Isa was hired by Skanska USA as director of health care planning and development in the company's Tampa office. Prior to joining Skanska, Lopez-Isa spent the last 15 years as a senior health care principal and project manager with Gresham, Smith and Partners in Tampa.

Bob West has joined Suffolk Construction Co. in Miami as a senior project manager. With more than 25 years of commercial construction experience, West has been assigned to the construction firm's Miami Science Museum project.

Chet Cofield has joined Kajima Building & Design Group in Atlanta as an estimator. Cofield has more than 15 years of industry experience. Also, Hiroki Miyauchi was hired by Kajima's Atlanta office as an architect. Miyauchi has 15 years of design experience.

 

TURNBULL
Sandy Turnbull has been named to the position of vice president with Merrick & Co. in Charlotte, N.C., where she leads the firm's office. Turnbull will serve as the firm's national leader for land development planning and design.

Anthony Fiorito was also hired as a senior project manager with Suffolk Construction. Fiorito, with 17 years of construction experience, will be working on the contractor's New River Yacht Club project in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Steven Sveda has been named director of electrical engineering at Heery International in Atlanta. With more than 35 years of engineering experience, Sveda has managed projects for the General Services Administration, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Social Security Administration, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Air Force. He will be responsible for the electrical engineering department's staffing, technical competency, quality control and business development.

Steve Nash has been promoted to the position of director of the warranty division at general contractor John S. Clark Co., based in Mount Airy, N.C. Nash, who joined the company in 1988, has 37 years of construction and project-management experience. Prior to this appointment, he served as senior vice president.

John Heinzel has joined design-build firm Stellar, Jacksonville, Fla., as vice president of refrigeration services. Heinzel most recently served as commanding officer for Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast, headquartered in Jacksonville.

Stephen Pelham was promoted to vice president with engineering firm RS&H. Working from the firm's Atlanta office, Pelham coordinates RS&H's international marketing activities.

Drew Roark was promoted to vice president for RS&H, Tallahassee, Fla., where he is office leader for the transportation/infrastructure program.

Kimberly Holland, in Jacksonville, Fla., was promoted to vice president for transportation/infrastructure for RS&H. She leads the firm's highway group.
