Associated Builders and Contractors, Albuquerque The Albuquerque and overall New Mexico markets appear to be rebounding from the recession, although slowly, says Rivera-Wiest, adding that contractors are beginning to build up backlogs.
"The upcoming legislative session could bring some good news to help the construction industry," she says. "The House of Representatives has a Republican majority for the first time in 70 years, and they are going to be pushing some initiatives that could help to turn things around."
