GEM Energy, of the Rudolph Libbe Group, set a local industry record when its 39 HVAC service technicians based in NW Ohio worked over 80,000 hours in 2018, according to United Association (UA) Local 50. The UA reports reflect HVAC service hours worked under the National Service Maintenance Agreement. The team also more than doubled its annual NW Ohio work hours from 2013 to 2018. GEM Energy’s total HVAC workforce in Toledo, Cleveland, Lima and Detroit exceeded 115,000 work hours in 2018.

In this role, Fortmann will expand the company's relationship with the Illinois Department of Transportation, from which he recently retired, and work with other regional client managers to expand and grow the DOT, municipal and bridge practices.

Matt joined B&N in 1997 and is currently a Senior Project Manager in the firm's Parkersburg, West Virginia office. He has led major transportation projects including the design of the new I-79 Interchange in Morgantown, West Virginia and the rehabilitation of the iconic New River Gorge Bridge in Fayette County, West Virginia.
