ENR Northwest is pleased to announce that Jody Walker Belsick, Senior Vice President for Kimley-Horn, is the region’s 2024 Legacy Award recipient.

This awards program recognizes industry veterans with many years of experience and long lists of contributions to their profession and community. In choosing this year’s winner, ENR editors weighed several criteria, including each nominee’s history of innovation, career highlights and engagement within the industry and the surrounding community.

Belsick is the leader of Kimley-Horn’s Portland office and heads the firm’s national sports task force. She has led the development of major sports venues such as Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nev. The stadium is the home of the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders and is a 2021 ENR Best of the Best project honoree.

Belsick founded her own firm in Las Vegas in 2003 and made a mark in the Southwest focusing on development services specializing in industrial, sports, data center, retail and office projects. She joined the Kimley-Horn team in 2016 and established the Seattle and Portland offices in addition to helping get two other offices in Washington up and running. In addition to Allegiant Stadium, her sports-related work includes the Las Vegas Raiders Headquarters, Formula 1 Las Vegas, Las Vegas NFL Draft, NFL Super Bowls and AAA baseball.

Belsick is a mentor in Kimley-Horn’s women’s leadership group and for women in sports design. This has included developing a women’s leadership speaker series and bringing in prominent figures such as CEOs, county commissioners and directors. She also has spent countless hours encouraging young women to consider STEM careers.

Belsick has taken an active role in the wider industry serving six years on the national corporate board of directors for NAIOP, which promotes the commercial real estate development industry, and five years on the board of the Southern Nevada NAIOP, along with a two-year term as the chair of the NAIOP Sustainability Committee. She currently serves as a NAIOP national research foundation governor and she is on the NAIOP National Real Estate Trends Forum.
