With $2.99 Billion in 2019 revenue from the 11-state region and leadership in the construction of digital infrastructure, historic reconstruction and preservation, Turner Construction has been voted ENR Midwest's Contractor of the Year for 2020. This is the second year in a row that big blue stood alone atop ENR Midwest's top contractors rankings, booking $2.77 billion in regional revenue in 2018, and the fourth time they've had the most revenue in the last five years.
Turner reported worldwide revenue of $14.66 billion, second only to Bechtel on ENR's Top 400. The road to regional supremacy was paved with steady construction of data centers in Iowa and Nebraska, the expertise needed for the $172.2-million restoration of the Union Terminal in Cincinnati, and construction management jobs that accounted for $2.5 billion of regional revenue.
Turner was also lauded for its community outreach efforts. In 2019, the Indianapolis office's staff volunteered in 24 separate activities, spending more than 680 hours in the local community. Community service activities were held in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity, Rebuilding Together, Girls Inc., Canstruction, thwe Salvation Army, Ronald McDonald House, Susie’s Place, the Butterfly Pollinator Project, Indiana Youth Group, Hoosier Veterans Assistance Foundation, the ACE Mentor Program, Crooked Creek Food Pantry, and 12 other organizations.
