Energy continues to dominate the conversation in Texas and Louisiana construction, with the top four projects on this year’s ENR Texas & Louisiana Top Starts list all being energy related and in the billions of dollars.
Conti is constructing the MRL 4.2 project for USACE New Orleans. The work includes approximately 5,400 linear ft of new concrete floodwall that will stretch from Oak Road to the Belle Chase Ferry Landing.
With 14 hospitals, five convenient care centers, more than 24,000 employees and 5,500 medical staff, all within the greater Houston area, Memorial Hermann Health System’s presence in the city is well-rooted.
“Numerous residential, office and hotel projects have been built or are underway in downtown,” Phil Thoden says, adding that AGC has been working with the City Council to develop new rules governing the placing of concrete in the late night and early morning hours.
ENR editors recognized the Orlando-based engineering firm for its significant growth in 2015, which was fueled partly by major wins in the health-care and transportation sectors.
