Zachry Construction Corp., San Antonio, has elevated Travis Mross to president from operations executive vice president. Joining the firm as an intern, he also was regional manager for Gulf Coast and South and Central Texas transportation, water and utilities work.
Manhattan Construction Co., Tulsa, has promoted Darren Cottom to vice president of health care. He has led more than 500 of its health care projects, the firm said. Ronnie Wood has been named account director for mission critical and data center construction.
Emily Hunt, dean of the College of Engineering at West Texas A&M University, Canyon, has taken on the added role of associate vice president for research development and innovation, a newly created position to advance university emphasis on research. She also is a board member of the national Amereican Society for Engineering Education Engineering Research Council and the author of “Nanostructured Metallic Alloys: Synthesis, Properties, and Applications” and of the children’s book “Engineering Elephants.” Hunt joined the university in 2005.
Balfour Beatty has promoted Dave Campbell to Florida vice president of operations, overseeing work in Jacksonville and nearby areas.
Skiles Group, a Richardson, Texas, construction management firm, has promoted Michael Blakemore to chief corporate officer to oversee legal, risk management, insurance and IT security.
Structure Tone Southwest, Dallas, has hired Joel Cotter as aviation project executive. He has more than 15 years of experience in aviation and infrastructure construction across Texas, the firm said.
Thomas O’Keefe and Chris O’Brien have been named principals in charge at Lanier & Associates Consulting Engineers, New Orleans. Both have served as department heads at the engineering firm.
GMF Steel Group, a Lakeland, Fla., steel fabricator, has elevated four managers to vice president. Tim Mitchell now leads its construction operations; Luiz Jacintho heads preconstruction; Matt Bergstrom advances to lead finance; and Reid Ratajeski runs procurement strategy and material acquisition for the company’s structural steel portfolio.
Cornerstone Building Brands, a Cary, N.C., building products manufacturer, has named Michael Pulcanio executive vice president and chief human resources officer, leading talent strategy, organizational development and culture initiatives. He performed the same roles at food service firm CJ Schwan’s Co.
The Texas Facilities Commission, Austin, has named William C. McKerall as executive director of the agency from an interim role. He joined the agency in 2023, also serving as its deputy executive director and facilities design and construction division director. McKerall also worked for the U.S. Navy in operations, engineering and executive positions, most recently as U.S. Defense Dept. director of infrastructure and environment for Europe and Africa. He also co-founded an engineering and technology firm in Waco.
Clark Wiedetz has joined professional services firm STV Group as vice president for energy solutions, leading its power and energy practice, based in Atlanta. He was chief sales officer at GreenStruxure.
Jack Puleo has been named dean of the Florida International University College of Engineering & Computing and continues as a university associate vice president of research. Before joining the school in December, he was chair of the department of civil, construction and environmental engineering at the University of Delaware, where he directed the Center for Applied Coastal Research.
