Pasadena, Calif.-based Tetra Tech announced Roger R. Argus has been promoted to president. Argus, currently executive vice president of corporate development and president of the commercial/international services group, has been with the firm for three decades and has led major environmental and engineering programs and directed the firm’s mergers and acquisitions. Jonathan S. Weiss, a 30-year veteran with the firm, will assume the role of president, commercial/international services group, continuing to advance Tetra Tech’s global water and energy initiatives.
TPBC has appointed Chris Cosenza as vice president of business development. Previously, he was with Ameristar Casinos, where for over a decade he held corporate leadership roles. Chris Casuga has been appointed vice president of preconstruction services at TPBC, bringing 28 years of experience in preconstruction and operations.
MATT Construction has appointed Brian Saenger as president and chief executive, succeeding co-founder Steve Matt, who becomes chair of the board. Saenger joins from The Ratkovich Co., where he led as chief executive for the past four years, raising $1.5 billion and overseeing $500 million in acquisitions. Jason Mosier, a 15-year veteran of MATT, has been promoted to chief commercial officer and executive vice president, while Joe Healy continues as chief operating officer. Mosier will lead the strategic direction and oversight of MATT’s business development, marketing, preconstruction, client solutions and revenue management functions.
Eric Olson has joined STV as senior vice president and rail director for the company’s transportation West operating group based in Los Angeles. With over three decades of experience, Olson is an established leader known for managing complex, design-build transit programs in California. His experience includes overseeing the $2.5-billion LA Metro Expo Line Extension and playing a key role in the Pasadena Gold Line.
Walnut Creek, Calif.-based Brown and Caldwell has promoted Euan Finlay to president and chief operating officer, overseeing operations, including project development and delivery as well as efficiency and growth initiatives. Finlay, who joined in 2019 and became COO in 2022, brings 25 years of experience and a track record of advancing strategic initiatives. Additionally, Stuart Henshall has joined the firm as chief financial officer. During his 25-years in the industry, he served at Jacobs and CH2M. Both appointments are effective immediately and report to Rich D’Amato, CEO. Wendy Broley has been named private sector business unit leader based in the firm’s San Diego office. Previously serving as the company’s chief technical officer, Broley will now oversee the firm’s comprehensive environmental services and tailored solutions provided to its private sector clients.
Tutor Perini Building Corp.—a wholly owned subsidiary of Tutor Perini Corp.—has named Mike Cherwin as its new president. Cherwin has 30 years of experience and previously served as vice president for Yates Construction. He will be responsible for Henderson, Nev.-based company operations, strategic planning, business development and project execution.
Lee Mason has been promoted to president of Las Vegas-based All 5’s Construction, where he will oversee all business aspects, focusing on profitability, operational efficiency and strategic market growth. Mason previously served as a project executive at the Penta Group.
Suffolk has named Preston Hoopes as general manager of Northern California, emphasizing leadership and strategic growth in the region. Hoopes has nearly 20 years of Bay Area construction and business development experience, including having served in senior roles at McCarthy Building Cos.
