More than 3,000 professionals from 50 countries met for Geo Week at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver Feb. 11-13 to learn about technology for natural disasters, the metaverse and aerial and underwater robotics. The event showcased how the built environment integrates with advanced airborne and terrestrial technologies and those in commercial 3D. Exhibits included 3D scanners, drones, robots, virtual reality technology, artificial intelligence and digital mapping technology, while representatives from Autodesk, Bentley Systems, RIEG, Dodge Construction Network, Esri, Skanska, USGS, NOAA, Teren, WGIC and other companies and organizations shared expertise on a range of topics. The event keynote—Geospatial for Good: How Is Geospatial Technology Changing the World?—featured panelists from Esri and the U.S. Geospatial Intelligence Foundation who discussed how geospatial knowledge is being applied across disciplines to help address critical problems globally.
