This public gathering place for ceremonies, remembrance events and educational programs serves as a prominent gateway into the community of Kyle. Its focal point is the Memorial Garden, which features an honor wall, remembrance totem and time capsule.
Part of the honor wall incorporates a lenticular sign, which reveals a gradual change in image as pedestrians pass by. The lenticular fins came from a porcelain trade partner in Washington, while a granite team in Minnesota built the physical structure. The metal component had to be shipped from Washington to Minnesota, where the granite supplier molded and adhered it to the backside of the granite. The granite and adhered metal components were shipped to the project site and applied to the porcelain. Early communication with the granite and porcelain suppliers and weekly coordination meetings ensured successful completion of this process in just 18 weeks.
