Golden Triangle Construction has broken ground on the Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District Station No. 5. The project was designed by Allred & Associates Architecture to be a home away from home for the firefighters and a safe haven for the communities of Frederick and Firestone, Colo.

The fire station will include a one-story, 15,000-sq-ft space with three pull-through bays, eight bunk rooms, offices, a conference room, an exercise room and a mezzanine within the bay. Construction is scheduled for completion in late summer of 2024.

The final steel beam has been set for the 40-story Astra Tower, Salt Lake City’s tallest building at 450 ft. Two local mayors joined approximately 600 construction workers to sign the final steel beam before it was ceremoniously placed atop the building’s 40th floor. The HKS-designed structure is being built by Jacobsen Construction, with completion on track for December 2024.
