SO Studio is planning to redevelop the former Trappey’s Cannery site in Lafayette into a mixed-use riverwalk development. The cannery was shut down in 1992. The eight-acre property, with abandoned warehouses totaling 177,000 sq ft, is on the Vermilion River. American Homeland LLC is planning to develop the Four Season Apartment Complex in Baton Rouge. It will include two three-story buildings totaling 359,910 sq ft and total 312 units with parking space. Columbia Gulf Transmission Co. and TC Energy Center have started constructing the East Lateral Express project. The project entails two new compressor stations—with one (Centerville) in St. Mary Parish and the other (Golden Meadow) in Lafourche Parish—and an 8.1-mile-long, 30-in.-dia lateral pipeline in Plaquemines and Jefferson parishes that will supply Venture Global’s new Plaquemines LNG export facility. LOUISIANA

The city of Baton Rouge is planning to carry out the Pecue Lane road improvement project. The project involves widening the section of Pecue Lane between Jamestown Boulevard and Airline Highway from two lanes to four lanes and building a new interchange with Interstate 10. TEXAS

The Gulf Coast Protection District is planning to carry out the Orange County Coastal Storm Risk Management Project. The project entails constructing a 26.7-mile-long levee/floodwall system along the edge of the Sabine and Neches River floodplains from Orange to the vicinity of Orangefield. It will include 20 miles of new earthen levees, three miles of new concrete floodwalls, 150-200 gravity drainage structures, 14-16 new pump stations, 40 closure structures located at road and railroad crossings and two navigable sector gates with adjacent vertical lift gates at Adams and Cow bayous. Three construction contracts are planned, one each for the pump stations, levees/floodwalls and mitigation. Construction is expected to start in July 2026 and be completed in 2032. Arcadia eFuels SP LLC is planning to construct a sustainable aviation fuels plant on a 60-acre site in San Patricio County.
