LOUISIANA

Strategic Biofuels and Louisiana Green Fuels are planning to construct a renewable diesel plant on a 171-acre site in Columbia. The facility will convert forestry waste feedstock to produce up to 32 million gallons of fuel annually. The plant has been designed by Hatch Ltd., and Progressive Construction Co. LOUISIANA

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is planning to carry out the 105 Levee reach and drainage structure project in La Place. The work will entail placing 735,000 cu yd of compacted clay embankment, constructing an access road along the protected side of the levee berm, excavating for drainage canals, driving piles, dynamic pile analysis and constructing a temporary restraining structure and a concrete drainage structure that includes four 10-ft by 10-ft sluice gates, floodwalls and culverts. Lightsource BP is planning to construct the Minkar Solar Farm on a 1,700-acre property located between Oak Grove and Purvis in Lamar County. It is projected to have up to 250,000 solar panels. MISSISSIPPI

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is evaluating bids from firms seeking to carry out the 7E Channel improvement project on the Upper Yazoo River in Charleston. The work entails channel excavation, disposal of excavated materials, clearing and grubbing, stone ditch outlet protection, removing and replacing existing embankment and culvert installation. OKLAHOMA

Saint Francis Health System is planning to build the Saint Francis Hospital Tower in Muskogee. The six-story building will contain 126 patient beds, a new critical care facility and a new entrance and chapel. TEXAS

Megatel Homes is planning to develop the Saint Tropez master-planned community on a 1,000-acre site in Huffman. It will include a mix of 4,500 single-family homes and multifamily units, a resort-style lagoon and a splash park open to the public. Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) is planning to construct the D2 Subway, a 2.4-mile-long light rail line through downtown Dallas extending from Victory Park to Deep Ellum, with four new stations and one relocated station.
