The two office buildings of the 400,000-sq-ft Kiewit RidgeGate campus—called K1 and K2—feature a demountable partition office wall system, allowing spaces to be customized to enhance collaboration and transparency. Because the project’s height and its location within the helicopter flight pattern of a nearby hospital precluded installation of conventional rooftop air handlers, the HVAC system required individual units for each floor.
Construction of K1 required an intricate crane pick plan to safely side-load 11 air handlers to their appropriate locations before installation of windows and metal exterior panels.
