On the Scene: Manhattan Mechanical Opens New Facility in East Chicago
Manhattan Mechanical celebrated the grand opening its new 20,000-sq-ft headquarters in East Chicago, Ind., on Nov. 5. The new headquarters has a 50-ft by 200-ft fabrication shop, craft training center and corporate offices. The merit shop mechanical contractor plans to invest approximately $2.5 million to create an estimated 75 to 100 jobs over the next several years.
James McHugh Construction Co. completed work on NEMA Chicago in October. At 896-ft-tall, it is Chicago’s tallest all-rental building. NEMA was designed by Rafael Viñoly Architects and the Rockwell Group.
