This 16-story office building in south Denver sits at the heart of a 42-acre transit-oriented-development master plan and has earned LEED Gold certification. Retail shops on the ground level integrate with other retail and residential units in the neighborhood, and a pedestrian path leads directly to the adjacent light-rail station.

High-contrast colored panels on the building mimic the fast-moving light-rail trains and the cars on nearby Interstate 25. The building’s main corner includes a patio and a pavilion that invite in passers-by from the neighborhood.

The project had an aggressive schedule and a tight budget, both of which pushed the design and construction teams to work closely together. Using BIM for coordination, the teams could quickly identify conflicts and propose solutions that maintained both the schedule and the integrity of the design.
