Northwest People: Construction business updates for June 2018
David Ruff was named CEO and president of Coffman Engineers Inc. in Seattle. He was formerly the firm’s president. The promotion follows a companywide initiative to increase Coffman’s reach into federal markets, including Dept. of Defense work. Ruff, also a principal of the firm, became president in 2015. A mechanical engineer with an industrial focus, Ruff has been with Coffman for 23 years. Former Coffman CEO David Gardner was named senior vice president of federal programs. His experience includes work as a civilian engineer with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command and as the leader of Coffman’s successful execution of DOD work throughout Alaska and the Pacific Rim for many years. Gardner served as the Spokane office’s general manager from 2007 through 2014 and joined Coffman in 1990.
Greg Delwiche has joined HDR as a senior strategic consultant for power and will be based in Portland, Ore. In his new role, Delwiche will advise HDR on its electric utility services business and work closely with the asset management team. He has more than 30 years of experience with Pacific Northwest energy management and natural resource policy issues. He comes to HDR from Bonneville Power Administration, which he joined in 1992. Delwiche has been inducted into Oregon State University’s Academy of Distinguished Engineers and has received the Presidential Rank Award for Distinguished Service in 2015.
