Florida

A partnership consisting of McCourt Global, Corigin Real Estate Group and Florida East Coast Realty Inc. is planning to develop The Towers, a luxury high-rise condominium project in Miami. Located at 1201 Brickell Bay Drive, the pair of 62-story buildings will total 1.17 million sq ft and contain 660 residential units. The project will also include retail spaces and a swimming pool. Florida

Miami Jewish Health Systems is planning a long-range expansion of its Miami campus. The proposed project will add eight buildings totaling 977,283 sq ft. The work will occur in four phases over the next 20 years on a 20-acre site in the Buena Vista neighborhood. The buildings will include a 10-story, 160,000-sq-ft hotel; a five-story, 104,000-sq-ft conference center; a five-story, 196,395-sq-ft parking garage with a green roof; a five-story, 184,704-sq-ft institute; a 99-unit memory-care village; an 11,638-sq-ft welcome center; a bistro; and a creative art center. The designer is C.C. Hodgson Architectural Group. The project’s value is estimated at approximately $200 million. Georgia

Hunt Cos. and Oakwood Development are planning to build Herndon Square, a mixed-use development to be located on a 12-acre site on Northside Drive in Atlanta. The development will include 700 multifamily units of varying types as well as retail and community spaces and a fitness center. North Carolina

Tennessee

The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is planning to carry out capacity improvements and a CSO (combined sewer overflows) reduction to its Central Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project consists of upgrades to the central pumping station and the intermediate pumping station, construction of approximately 15 million to 20 million gallons of new CSO equalization storage, installation of fine screens and improvements to the grit removal system for both the CSO and separate system flow trains, replacement of the secondary treatment aeration system, addition of a new ultraviolet disinfection system for secondary plant effluent and addition of a new peracetic acid disinfection system. Brasfield & Gorrie has been chosen as the construction manager. Construction is expected to begin in September 2019, with completion targeted by January 2023.
