Paul NeidleinJE Dunn Construction has named Paul Neidlein as its Midwest region president. Dirk Schafer, the previous regional president, retired at the end of 2017. Neidlein previously was senior vice president of JE Dunn, leading many successful operations teams in Kansas City, Mo., as well as overseeing the JE Dunn Des Moines office.


Mark BechererMark Becherer has been named Chicago office leader for HNTB Corp. Becherer held several roles at HNTB over his 34-year career and most recently was the design firm’s Great Lakes division delivery officer.

 

 


Steve RichardsonThe UP Cos. has hired Steve Richardson as corporate safety director. Richardson has 38 years of AEC industry experience, having previously worked as corporate safety director for Clayco Inc. and Tarlton Corp. in St. Louis.



Ferzan Ahmed has been hired by AECOM as director of transportation throughout Ohio. Ahmed will lead the transportation practice in AECOM’s four offices in the state. Prior to joining AECOM, Ahmed was chief administrative officer for Delaware County, Ohio.


Jeremy AlinderJeremy Alinder has joined Ulteig as vice president of finance and is scheduled to become CFO after a brief transition period. Alinder has 20 years of financial leadership experience at privately held and publicly traded companies. He will work in the Fargo, N.D.-based firm’s Minneapolis-St. Paul office.


Andy McDonellBrinkmann Constructors has promoted Andy McDonell to vice president and appointed him to lead its Kansas City, Kan., office. During McDonell’s 18 years with Brinkmann, he has led many of the company’s multifamily, renovation, senior living and institutional/government projects.

 


Bruce A. OmtvedtBruce A. Omtvedt has been hired by Dewberry as an associate principal and market segment leader for the firm’s justice architecture practice. Omtvedt has more than 36 years of experience, with a focus on planning and designing jails, prisons and law enforcement, government office, courthouse and medical inmate facilities.  He has completed 35 justice projects to date, with a total value of more than $2 billion. Omtvedt will telecommute from his home in Wisconsin for his new role.


Toni GiffinToni Giffin has joined CHA Consulting in Indianapolis as an environmental scientist supporting CHA’s transportation team with environmental planning services. Andrew Lieske has joined the firm as an assistant project engineer supporting CHA’s aviation team with site design services.

 


Moses ScottMoses Scott has joined Goettsch Partners as the director of digital practice, based in the Chicago office. Scott will lead the firm’s advancements in building information modeling, specifically the firm’s data management protocols across all digital practice tools.



The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) has named Michael Kesselmayer its new managing director of quality programs. Kesselmayer joins PCI after 37 years with the testing and inspection firm Professional Service Industries, most recently as vice president.
